The Ball Badminton Federation of India (BBFI) is the governing body for the sport of ball badminton in India, established in 1954. It plays a crucial role in promoting and regulating the sport across the country. Recognized by the Department of Youth Affairs and Sports of the Government of India and the Indian Olympic Association, the BBFI organizes national championships and is responsible for the development of the sport at various levels, including schools and universities.

The first national championship was held in Hyderabad in 1956, marking a significant milestone in the sport's history in India.
